Notes from the TOR
Shu Shu Gah Lodge hosted its 9th Annual TOR this past Saturday November 20 at Camp Alpine in NJ.
There were 48 tables sold which strained the capacity of Orbach Arena. We had to turn away a couple of Scouters looking for tables on the morning of the event.
One newly discovered prototype(?)/manufacturers sample was discovered from Lodge #24. Once I receive an image, I will post the item here. It was a Black bordered version of the J2 which was issued with a SMY border.
The live auction had fewer items than the previous few years, the typical items included Camp patches, OA issues from local lodges and other pieces of Scout memorabilia. Highlights included delegate issues from the 2004 NOAC from Shu Shu Gah and Suanhacky Lodges as well as a Section NE2C Council of Chiefs Patch and a 2004 OA National Conference Committee Patch.
The facility has already been booked for 2005. The 10th Annual Shu Shu Gah Lodge TOR will be held in the same location November 19, 2005. More information will be posted shortly.
